About Dot Lou
A lot of people ask me why I chose this name for my business. My grandmother and I were very close growing up and The Wings of Time is a poem that she wrote to her daughters and grandchildren before she passed away. I wrote her a poem back titled The Wings of Time Part 2. Not long after my grandmother passed away my mother opened an antique store named The Wings of Time so when I decided to open my own business it only made sense to name my business The Wings of Time Part 2, in memory of her.
My mother & grandmother appreciated the gifts that the earth offered so I grew up in a home where natural remedies and herbs were the cure-all to any ailment. Your tooth hurts? Put clove in your mouth. Stomachache? Sniff peppermint. I remember watching my mother grinding sage and dried rosemary and packing into a capsule for homemade vitamins. They believed in using an herb garden over any store bought medicine because they knew the benefits far outweighed any man-made product. I appreciate it because I grew up knowing Earth had magical elements and how to utilize them.
I started collecting crystals since I was 6 years old and now as an adult I understand why. Crystals have healing powers that will amaze you. I’ve always used this knowledge but only for my own family’s personal use. Not until recently did I start thinking that maybe I was given this gift to share with all of you. This is my passion and I love making natural products that I know will not only help cure the physical ailments you may be facing but also comfort your soul as well. One of the first products I made for the business was my Magic Dragon Face Cream. From there I feel as if I have never looked back. I have expanded to intention candles, bath salts, sugar scrubs, lip balms and even soap. I have recently expanded into making products that can easily replace other products you may be using to heal physical ailments but are packed with chemicals who may or may not be causing other issues for you. The earth has so much magic in it’s stones, crystals, herbs and plants. We are so grateful and blessed to be able to share this natural magic with you and enjoy the beauty of it together.
All the products are handmade with slight variations and may not be made again. If you like it and are drawn to it, I encourage you to get it while it lasts. My inventory will always be updating and I love making new products so please come back often to see what I have to offer. I thank you for taking the time to learn about me and if you have any questions or want to order a customized product, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
With Love & Respect,
